Jet setters

This little lover girl is going on a plane tomorrow for the first time ever, as we are flying to Dublin to visit her Irish family.

Traveling with a baby is shaping up to be a whole different story, the amount of planning involved! We had to re-think taking our pram as the airline only accepts fully collapsible push chairs. We need to pre book a taxi with a carseat. I have started packing and, oh man do we need to take a lot of stuff. How can such a small person need so many things? Thankfully I am eternally prepared and organised.

"Just live, dammit"

Today started early, by 7.30 I was having breakfast before we headed out for the day.

By 9.30 we were having coffee (I had coffee, Una had boob) with my friend Aga and the two boys she looks after. By 10.30 we were at the playground and an hour later I was walking to Marylebone to meet Heather for lunch. By 1pm I was crying in a cafe, not sure what came over me. By 3pm Una had been weighed at the baby clinic, 5 kg exactly. By 9.30pm we were in bed, she's sleeping peacefully next to me.

Night peeps.

Haven't you heard?

My sister and I had a delicious lunch of halloumi salad in the food court at Westfield. My sister looked as beautiful as ever!

I never found a bath seat I liked, and just as well as James' niece has now said she'll lend me one. I did buy one of these bouncy seats though. So far she seems to like it. It's supposed to vibrate but I didn't have any batteries. My sister is bringing some over tomorrow so we will try it out properly then.

I have just had a lovely dinner of lemon sole with brown shrimp in a butter sauce, served with crushed new potatoes, yum. Just sipping my wine while James makes rhubarb crumble for dessert. I love food.

A day like today

Una and I got a good nights sleep with only a few feeds and got up at 8.30. I started the day with musli, followed by a fried egg with tomatillo salsa and a fruit salad with passion fruit, banana and alfonso mango.

I'm now on my way to meet my sister at Westfield for some shopping. I need to get Una a bath seat as she is getting too big and active for her baby bath and needs to go in the big bath.

Have a nice day peeps!

Lazy cow

It's past 1pm and I am still in my pj's, is this normal? We've been up since 9am, pottering around, had some breakfast, put a wash on, James came home and made some lunch. Una is now sleeping in my arms and I am contemplating having a shower. I think it's the weather. When it's was warm and sunny you feel motivated to get out and about, but today is cold and miserable. I had plans to meet my friend Heather for lunch but we've re-scheduled for tomorrow. I guess I should still try and leave the house at least once today!

I also have mastitis for the third time since Una was born. I feel ok today, Monday I felt awful all day and Monday night my sheets were soaked in sweat because I had such a high temperature. I saw the doctor yesterday so I am now on my third course of antibiotics in 5 weeks. Woop. Not.

Come dine with me

I don't seem to be getting any better at updating my blog, too busy cuddling Una all day long. Nothing much exciting to report
except I recently ate smoked salmon for the first time in what seems like forever! It was delicious.

Una joined us at the restaurant, she is getting quite used to eating out.
